Titolo:
Graph Theory and its applications in Neuroscience and Neuropsychiatry: Short overview and
some perspectives.
Abstract:
The complex organization of the brain connectivity is not completely understood. Graph
Theory is a powerful tool for the study of the functional and structural connectivity and
for the mechanisms that account for them.
Some strong points of Graph Theory are its versatility (it is applied to very different
problems, from social interaction to Neuroscience), empirical use (it was born from real
world problems) and usefulness (it analyzes complex systems in a simpler way).
The main aim of this seminar is to give a global view about the graph theoretical
analysis of the brain and some of its possible applications.
